Our Story

Tikvot Association is a non-profit organization
that works to rehabilitate IDF wounded, terror attack victims and bereaved families through sports
and action. Our goal is to transform trauma
into victory, and restore hope and confidence to those who were injured.

The association, founded in 2007, has treated
more than 14,000 wounded to date. It accompanies IDF wounded and terror survivors from the moment of injury,
throughout the rehabilitation process until recovery.

The therapeutic tools we provide: water skiing, horseback
riding, karting, training and participation in
triathlon competitions, cycling, surfing and more.

Twice
a year the association goes out for skiing and snowboarding activities at ski resorts around the world with certified instructors
and medical staff.

The delegation
is built from wounded who are medically approved to go out for such challenging sports activities. This activity proves
to them again - there is no peak that cannot be conquered.

The events of October 7th left a deep
and lasting mark on Israeli society. Many soldiers and civilians fought for Israel and now we
are fighting for their rehabilitation.amp; trauma

Our Values

Uncompromising Commitment

We are committed to providing the best service to IDF wounded and terror victims. Every decision we make is guided by one question: what is best for our participants?

Community and Support

We believe in the power of community. Our participants don't just receive services - they become part of a large and supportive family that stays with them over time.

Excellence and Professionalism

We strive for excellence in everything we do. Our team and volunteers receive professional training and work according to the highest standards.

Volunteering and Giving

Tikvot operates on a completely voluntary basis. We believe that giving from the heart brings the best results and strengthens the connection between volunteers and participants.

Innovation and Personal Adaptation

We believe that every person is unique and requires a personally adapted approach. We invest in developing innovative programs and adapt them to the specific needs of each participant.

Hope and Empowerment

Our name, Tikvot, reflects the core of what we do - we restore hope to people who have experienced difficult experiences and empower them to believe in their abilities.

Our Team and Volunteers

Tikvot operates thanks to hundreds of dedicated volunteers who invest their time, skills and hearts. Our team includes:

Management and Administration

Our management team consists of volunteers with rich experience in managing non-profit organizations, working with special populations and developing rehabilitation programs. They lead Tikvot's vision and ensure that we continue to provide service at the highest level.

Sports Instructors and Coaches

Our instructors are certified and experienced professionals in various sports fields - skiing, triathlon, swimming, riding and more. They have all undergone special training in working with special populations and understand the unique challenges of IDF wounded and terror victims.

Therapists and Professionals

Our therapeutic team includes psychologists, equine therapists, physiotherapists and other professionals. They all volunteer their time and provide professional services at the highest level.

Companions and Supporters

Hundreds of additional volunteers accompany our participants at events, assist in organizing activities, provide emotional support and create the warm and supportive community that is the heart of Tikvot.

Tikvot has received recognition and appreciation from many bodies, including the IDF, Ministry of Defense, international Paralympic sports organizations and more. But the most meaningful recognition for us comes from the participants and their families - their stories, their achievements and the change they undergo.

Partners and Supporters

Tikvot operates in cooperation with many organizations and bodies that support our mission and help us provide the best service to participants:

We thank all our partners and supporters for their trust and support. Without you, we could not continue to operate and restore hope to our heroic soldiers.

Our Vision for the Future

We look forward with hope and determination. Our goal is to continue and expand our activities, reach more IDF wounded and terror victims, and develop new and advanced programs.

Goals for the Coming Years:

  • Expanding equine therapy programs and establishing a dedicated treatment center
  • Organizing additional delegations to international competitions and Paralympic games
  • Developing new programs for specific audiences, including women and youth
  • Expanding staff and volunteers to reach more participants
  • International collaborations and sharing our knowledge and experience with other organizations
  • Research and development of innovative rehabilitation methods through sports

We believe that every IDF wounded and terror victim deserves to receive the support and tools to restore life to full and meaningful functioning. Tikvot will continue to operate tirelessly to make this vision a reality.
